From Rt 335 on the southwest side of Amarillo, here is a view of the developing Hereford, TX supercell from the northeast. There's an inflow band that developed to its east, and hard updraft towers that made this storm promising. From this angle, there's no way to see the updraft base. We were on the way to get a closer look.
